Battery And Charger for Newbie

I'm looking to suppliment my single battery for my H1 (the supplied 950). I did some research here on this forum and it seems that this might do the trick:
Shannon Rawls suggested this, and it seems like a good choice:

Any reason to not get these?

And for a charger, this seems as good as anything:

I'd like a 4 slot charger, but I can't seem to find one. Looks like a duel is the only option here.

Any other suggestions to power my rig?
(I've seen the 950s and the 970s, but they the cost of 12 of the after-market batteries. Unless there's a reson to avoid them, they seem a good choice.)

I have been very pleased with the power101 batteries.

They are not as powerful as the BP-950g or BP-970g, but they are very good batteries.

The Canon Dual Charger, is a nice unit. It allows you to mount two batteries on the camera, and it automatically switches from one to the other as needed. Then you can swap out the used battery for a fresh one even while the camera is on.

The only problem is that it charges the two batteries one at a time. This is not a problem with the traditional two BP-945 type batteries, but two BP-970g will take a long time to charge. It may take most of a night to charge two BP-970g's. If you get back late from a shoot and have an early call, you will not have enough time to fully charge two BP-970g's.

If you have two regular chargers, then you can charge two batteries simultaneously.

Alternatively, you can purchase two or more power101 chargers. They cost about $10 each, including shipping. They work fine. They work with 100-240 volts AC and 12-24 volts DC. These are very versitile chargers.

However, charging a Lithium-Ion battery properly requires precison electronics. These days, a precision charger chip is usually used. These chips don't cost much and are very accurate.

While I prefer to charge all of my batteries using a Canon charger, either the standard one, or the dual one, when I have a lot of batteries to charge and little time, I use the power101 chargers to charge the power101 batteries.

I have never had a problem with the power101 chargers. I just don't want to take a chance on an expensive Canon BP-970g battery.

I went with the dual battery charger/holder from canon. It works great. I was also able to pick up the canon brand extended life batteries from amazon for $50 a piece.

The combination is great, about 6 hours of record time.

What do you mean by "canon brand" extended batteries? The 950g or 970g?

Thanks!
