Very strange, the files disappeared from my FTP.
But I put them back. Now the link is working fine.

Andrea, absolutely stunning, and, as John said...nice shoes. Honestly, that was great stuff. I will be spending two weeks videoing in Brazil's Pantanal region the end of June. Any suggestions on special equipment? Should I bring a rain cover for my XL-2? We will also be doing Iguazu Falls and the National Parks around Rio. Can't not wait to visit Brazil. Bob

Thanks, Bob!

Pantanal is a beautiful place....lots of alligators...hehehehe...I am kidding. Yes, you should bring a rain cover, thats for sure.
My suggestion for you is to not bring lots of equipment, you can find equipment to rent in Rio de Janeiro or in any other Brazilian Capital.

That's weird, I couldn't see anything except white. Was this encoded as a Quicktime 7 Mac codec? Don't play on PC

Geoff Dills March 5th, 2007 05:15 PM

plays fine on my pc qt7

Steven Dempsey March 5th, 2007 05:20 PM

Okay, it's fine now... :)

Andrea,

Great shots. It's interesting to see the two shoe commercials (Jonas Nystrom's and yours). The European style is more understated, where it takes awhile to figure out what the product is; versus the Brazillian style (similar to North American), where the product is very much apparent.

When I worked for a commercial production company in the early 90's, it was all about the 'product shot'. We didn't dare leave the audience guessing as to what the commercial was about.

Very nice very nice.Nice colors,girls,colors.....

Good Day

Alex Kalmer March 6th, 2007 01:51 AM

very nice. is it shot with the stocklens or with a mini35? is it shot with SDI?

Andrea Beck March 6th, 2007 06:03 AM

I thank you all for the nice comments.

My husband, Alvaro Beck, did the direction and the photography of these commercials. He told me he used the standards lens (20X Zoom Lens).
Also, two filters: Circular Polarizer and the UV.

He told me the city he was shooting, called Salvador - Bahia, on July had a nice light, a very high luminosity. Because of that, he was changing some presets of the camera all the time. See the presets he used below:

ND - Between 1/32 and 1/6
Shutter - Between 60 and 48
Croma - between -5 and -4
Cor - 9
Gamma - Cine2
Black - Press
Ped - between -7, -6 and -5
Set - between -4 and -3
Shapness - between 7 and 6
Color Mat - Cine 2
Colo gain - between -5 and -4

We didn't use mini35 and it was HDV, recorded on a tape.

I think that is all. If you have any more question, I am happy to answer.

:))
