can someone point me in the right direction?

I just spent my life savings on an xl1. I'm looking for a webpage that will just outline everything their is to know on getting the most out of your xl1 to make it look the best possible. I know everyone tries to get a cinema like feel and they all have their own ways of doing it. Is there any specific sites that show how to do everything? Thanks in advance.

ive been through everything on watchdog. they don't really talk about getting the film look. it might not necessarily be an xl1 site im looking for, rather a dv filmmaking site?

Are some good resources on video filmmaking and the "film look". You will have to do a search in the forums for the appropriate subject you're looking for.

The "Film Look" is a bit like videos Holy Grail. The best way to find the look is to go out and find it for yourself. DV tape is cheap, filters are cheap, sunlight is free, time is your own. Experiment, what you think is the film look is going to be different to what someone else thinks is the film look. While you are trying different things you'll also learn heaps about your new camera.

Have fun
