Just to add a point

This will not help your color problems but if you want to add the XL-1 battery to your current monitor you can. The Watchdog site has a link to the company. It cost around $100 dollars just for the attachment. It is a nice thing to only need one type of battery and charger. Plus those XL-1 batteries will run that monitor of hours (even that little one that comes with it).

Thanks. I don't mind the giant monster battery that came with it. I just put it in my pocket.

As I write this, I am waiting for Fedex to deliver my recently ordered Varizoom Monitor Kit, and I am beginning to woder if I made a mistake.

Is the Nebtek better or does it use the same LCD as the others?

Is the Panasonc any better? Has anyone seen or used the Panasonic and can make a comparative judgement?

I would rather spring for a few more bucks and get something decent if I have to.

Thanks

Ron

Ron, try it and see how you like it. As I said earlier, it's a good value *for the money.* You get what you pay for. The other alternatives will definitely be more expensive.

Does vari-zoom sell replacement wires for the 5.6" monitor. The wires that came with the unit are quite unusual and aren't too sturdy. Why after watching play back don't you get what you saw thru the monitor when recording. It crops the sides of the picture??
