Wireless Lav Microphone Options
 

My question:

I would like to buy a Wireless Lav. Microphone system for my DV camera. I need them to operate both on batteries and have a clear reception at 100 Feet


Can anyone recomend a good (Clear Reception) System under $200?


Also should I stay way from VHF systems?

For god reliable clear reception you need a true diversity system, which will start somewhat over $200.

UHF is better, but VHF can work well in many venues. All depends on how crowded the air waves are where you intend to work. The Azden WDR-Pro is a minimum starting point.

I think I paid $185 for my Azden WR22 with two wireless lavs, and it works great. I just wish it had seperate lines out for left and right. The only real downside of it, is it only has two channels, one for each mic, or stereo for one mic.
