Aspect HD -> Prospect2K
There comes a time in every (wo)man's life when s/he must stand up and declare, "8-bit color correction just isn't cutting it for me on this project!" So it's time to think about ponying up for a copy of Prospect HD.
I apologize if the following questions have already been answered in this forum, but I did make a good faith effort to find the answers before posting: 1. How significantly is computational time and RAM usage changed for renders when going from using Aspect HD to Prospect HD in a given Premiere Pro project? 2. Is it too late to make good use of Prospect HD in a project where all the videoclips have already been captured using HDLink from Aspect HD? |
1. As we go from 8-bit to 32-bit float the computational load does go up, adding to rendering time around 20-40%. You can turn the 32-bit mode off projects in a hurry.
2. Older Aspect HD clips are not an issue, it is color correction that benefits from the improved precision. |
Thanks, David.
