Converting Cineform Intermediate to CFHDAVI
 

I know I must be missing something simple, but am unable to convert a Cineform intermediate 1440 file to a CFHD 1920i avi. No matter what I do, the end result is not a 1920x1280 HD file.

I captured a 1920x1280 HD video from a Sony HDR-HC7 camera to a cineform intermediate 1440 60i file using HDLink, did my editing and then am lost.

Could someone please give me the correct settings to end up with a CFHD 1920x1280 HD avi?

1920x1280 is not HD resolution, 1920x1080 is. That camera is 1440x1080 camera with a 1.33:1 pixel ratio, so 1440x1080 is the correct resolution for it output. Maybe you need to explain what you are trying to do and what CineForm software you are using.

I am using Aspect v 5.x, latest version and want to use the CFHDAVI to create a Blu Ray disc of numerous videos of my grandchildren over the past several months.

I have a new computer using the Intel QX9650 chip and GE Force 8800 video card.

I capture video using the Black Magic card and HD Link in another older computer and use an external USB hard drive to transfer the video to the new computer for editing and output to Blu Ray with a Lite On 2x Blu Ray burner. So far I have not burned any Blu Ray discs and want to make certain I am using Aspect correctly.

Is there any benefit for me to consider Prospect?

Martin - AspectHD only supports up to a maximum 1440x1080, not 1920x1080 (for that you would need ProspectHD).

Since your camera only outputs 1440x1080 HDV footage, your current CFHD avis contain all the resolution there is to be had.

So ... save your final master footage at 1440x1080 and author your BluRay disks from that - just make sure to specify that it's 16:9 footage so that the pixel aspect ratio (PAR) is handled correctly during authoring.
