Neo/Aspect Errors
 

I have tried everything to get Aspect HD and Neo HDV to work with no luck. Aspect worked on my Vista laptop, but Neo does not. Neither will work on my XP PC. I have an NVidea 8800 GTS card, an Intel Core2Duo E6600 2.4 GHZ processor, and 4 gb of PC-6400 ram. The camera (XH-A1) is recognized no problem but when I press start the camera shows the video for a second, errors come up in the log, and the playback stops. No file is ever recorded. There are always 3 errors in the log:

1) Error: CreateAndAddFilter(CF_ENCODER_GUID,L"CineForm Encoder",&cfEncoder) (0x80040154-Class not registered) in(RTCaptureConvert.cpp at 950)

2)Error: BuildGraph_Downstream(videoOutputPin, quality) (0x80040154 - Class not registered) in (RTCaptureConvert.cpp at 347)

3)Error: hr(0x80040154 - Class not registered) in (RTCaptureConvert.cpp at 1373)

I really want this to work for me because the workflow when it did work was very nice. These are trial versions with only a few days left but I will buy one if I can get this figured out. Anybody have any ideas or experiences? Thanks.

Seems like something is not registered or maybe a trial has expired on your encoder. Try the "Register Components" script in Start->Programs->CineForm->Tools Also before doing that log on as Administrator.
