HD Link conversion out of sync

David,

I have an AVCHD file that I pulled off my Sony SR11 using the sony motion picture browser software. It is 2 hours 20 minutes in length.

I then brought it into HD Link (Neo HD) and converted it to Cineform (high quality). The resulting video file's audio is out of sync.

When I line up the original AVCHD and and the Cineform on the Vegas timeline it shows that the Cineform file is 14 frames out of sync. Any idea what's causing this?

My workaround is to render Cineform directly from the Vegas timeline but it takes much longer to do this.

Thank you, Marc

More likely a support question. Does it start in sync and goes further out sync? My guess it is the the join points created by sony motion picture browser software, so that there are more audio (or less) audio samples than video.

The Cineform clip starts out of sync. I just noticed that at the beginning of the Cineform clip there is 14 frames of green garbage before the clip starts. So basically the audio is running 14 frames ahead of the video.

I'm heading out of town and will file a ticket when I return.

Thanks, Marc

OK, there they was corrupt data at the beginning of the clip. If you have a short sample that does this, send it to support.
