Frame Flip does not work?
For the first time, tried Frame Flip in FL - because I shot something with the upside-down camera and needed to restore the correct view in post.
However, although Framing is Checked, FL seems to ignore both Horizontal and Vertical boxes - nothing happens when I mark or unmark then. Moreover, when they are marked, clicking Reset in Framing section does not revert them to the unmarked default. In any case, why is it not working. I'm only working on a 2D file, not 3D. Every other function in the Framing section does work - but I need to flip the image... Help! |
Framing in the latest build does not appear to be working. None of the framing features that I tried.
Let me qualify that quick test. One older CF file did NOT work, one newer one DID...hmmm. First is from March 2009 and was CF 1920p output from uprezed HDV. Second is from Aug 2010 and is also HDV uprezed 1920p. Haven't tried any EX1R files yet, no time. |
So. We pretty much established that presently, CF Framing fails in the Western Hemisphere.
:) Any hope for us - and the rest of the world? |
I've been framed!...and unframed! Help!
|
Works fine here. Never seen them fail, used all the time in 3D. That mean it is likely clip dependent, so you will need to send a sample to support.
Try a CFRepair on a clip. |
Just tried CFRepair. Nada.

From a shell:
rewrap e:/yoursource.avi e:/shortclip.avi -o4 Test again with that new clip, and send me those 4 frames via email (if it still doesn't work.) That way I can see if it is clip related, or something else. |
David, something just happened that could be a clue. I pulled up the same clip on the same machine, and it did the same thing.........nothing worked........UNTIL I went and used the white balance pick to select a white in the clip. Suddenly everything immediately worked! Really strange and repeatable behavior. Does it this way with the same clip every time I close FL, reopen it and use that particular clip. Other clips work normally.
This particular machine is using CS3, NEO 4K and Win7 x64. |
