v5.2.6 is going out today.
We quickly released a new build as there was a critical bug for SI-2K 3D shooters that are using the uncompressed RAW profile (impact decoding of side-by-side 3D.) However that are still whole worth while updates or others. All RAW users with benefit from further improved demosaicing quality (see recent blog post for DSLR RAW shooters http://bit.ly/gCa8cV.) PC users with Canon XF series cameras with now batch conversions fast without occuration hickups. The PC version is out, and the Mac version will update later today.
From the release notes: Build 5.2.6.289, released 15-December-2010 Enhanced: Demosaicing quality for the CF Advance filters. Enhanced: Startup speed of HDlink/FirstLight with faster licensing tools. Fixed: XDCAM file MXF conversion crash (could occur <20% of the time at clip end.) Fixed: Crash in 3D side-by-side of uncompressed RAW. |
One bonus we forget to list. New HDLink conversions format the audio so that is conform in CS5 so much faster. I just imported 2hrs of video source material, and the audio confirm in under a minute.

2hrs of exported video takes forever to conform in Pr if the footage is exported through the CineForm Exporter in Pr. (Using Microsoft exporter > CineForm codec conforms way faster when imported.) |
Good idea for the next build.

Hi David, we updated the Cineform plugins for Fusion to reflect on the new SDK as well. Quicktime writing is now, as is AVI writing. Both works in 64 bit Windows version too. And our DCP software reads and converts native Cineform files (AVI, MOV, DPX-C) to DCPs now too. We just had the first projection of our 93 minutes "Nydenion" on a Doremi player in 2K last saturday for the team - it works! Keep the updates coming :) Cheers, Axel |
It works great for me here too.
