Is there any recommendable way to update neo 3d?

I'm always worried about losing my active metadata & db.

There was an old build on the mac that accidentally removed active metadata, the was fixed a long time ago. But active metadata is important to keep safe, so I recommend using dropbox.

Craig, please confirm as the Mac expert.

The default LUTs folder which is the default location for the active metadata databases is saved by both the uninstall and install scripts. If you are worried, you can also make a copy of the LUTs folder /Library/Application Support/CineForm/LUTs before doing an upgrade.

You should be making backups of this folder, anyway.
