Sony's ClearVID CMOS and CineformRAW
Cineform RAW able to have benefit from new Sony's CMOS technology called ClearVID?
http://www.camcorderinfo.com/content...-of-Choice.htm These ClearVID CMOS imagers was used into Sony's HDV camcorders HC-1/HC-3: "The new model can shoot 1080p at 60 frames/s, converting the imagery into 1080i at 60 fields/s." http://neasia.nikkeibp.com/neasia/001840 |
You really benefit for CineForm RAW you need to sample data direct for the sensor, not after camera processing. Data from these cameras is best processed with CineForm Intermediate.

Yes, David, i understand: from this camcorder need only CMOS sensor :)
Same hack as Andromeda but for HDV camcorders to get RAW straight from sensor. http://reel-stream.com/andromeda.php When i've asked about ClearVID, which has more green pixels than Altasens, i meant probably possible more effective coding to CineformRAW? |
If someone does the hack we can provide the codec.
