Can I make 2.0 act like 1.5?
I have cineform in Ppro 1.5 now. When I capture HDV it automatically converts it to an avi.
I also have Ppro 2.0 but when I capture to it I get a mpg file. How can I get 2.0 to capture like 1.5? |
Adobe licenced a part of the CineForm capture engine and codec for 1.5.1, which they choose not to incorporate into PPro 2.0. To get more real-time and AVI editing with HDV sources you will need to use CineForm's Aspect HD or Prospect HD with Premiere Pro 2.0. I see. Do I qualify for the upgrade price or do I need to purchase the full version.
|
If you never purchased it separately from Premiere Pro 1.5.1, then you need to purchase the full version. The upgrade is for people who purchased a 3.x version from Cineform.
It really makes it all a lot easier. |
It is a full purchase when adding Aspect HD to Premiere Pro. The upgrade is for order Aspect HD versions (which has been on the market for over three years now.)

Thanks for the info I will be putting it in the budget.
Steven do you recommend the Quad core processors for editing? I see you have a core 2 duo. |
I have not seen any data on the Quad core, Sorry. I believe that the dual core is so much better than what came before, that there might possibly be some improvement with a Quad core. But there isn't any data posted to the Premiere Pro Benchmark site yet.
http://mysite.verizon.net/wgehrke/ppbm/ The Cineform guys seem to like the Dual Core which is why I felt like I could trust it. Aspect HD is aware of the dual processors and uses them both as far as I can tell. I certainly enjoy the editing experience more with this new system. |
Thanks Steven I value your input.
