nanoFlash 6.5~20V - Good Call

Just wanted to say 'good call' on the voltage input.

I just ran into a situation where my new V-Mount batteries output 16.75 volts and the device I was powering died because it couldn't handle it.

The device was an LED light which I have since sent back for a full refund.

I'm looking forward to using the nanoFlash (early adopter) and decided to check the voltage to make sure it would work with my V-Mount batteries.

I was very happy to see it's rated to 20 volts.

Dear James,

Thank you for your comments.

We tried to plan ahead for a wide range of battery types.

Just be aware that our 20 Volts means true 20 Volts.

Just as a 14.4 Volt Lithium battery, right off the charger is more than 14.4 volts, so would be a 20 volt battery.

As such, it would be inappropriate to use a Lithium-Ion battery labeled 20 Volts, as the "just off the charger" voltage would be higher than allowed.
