Nano & DP1 Monitor
Using Canon XHG1, I want to record 30fps PROGRESSIVE (so Record PSF Progressive check box on the Nano is checked).
But then I cannot get the NanoFlash HDMI out to feed an acceptable signal to the DP1 monitor. When I uncheck the Record PSF check box in the menu, meaning that I am recording an interlaced file, I then get picture on the DP1 monitor. Is there a way to record a true Progressive file on the Nano and get monitoring in this situation? |
I don't have an HDMI monitor yet but perhaps you didn't try to chek "Play Progressive->PSF" as it is explained page 14 in the manual, for SDI monitor. It maybe the same for HDMI monitor:
"Play Progressive->PSF [ ] Turn this option “on” to play 1080p progressive video off of a CF card as PSF video to the video outputs. ( Note: some SDI monitors only accept 1080PSF video, not progressive. In this case, turn this option “On”.)" Hope this helps. |
Dear John,
Please turn "Play Progressive->PSF [off ] and E to E [off]. That way you should be able to see/monitor your media from nanoFlash during recording or not. Hope this helps you Cheers Luben |
I have tried all the suggested settings. None of them will provide a supported signal to the DP1 monitor as long as "Record PSF>Prog" is checked.
I assume that "Record PSF>Prog" checkbox must have a checkmark to record a Progressive File. If I uncheck "Record PSF>Prog" the nano feeds a usable signal to the DP1 monitor via HDMI out from the nano. But the monitor also reports the signal as 1080 I (interlaced). How do I set the nano up to RECORD 30fps PROGRESSIVE files and still be able to monitor from the Nano HDMI out? |
