HDMI connector plate for protection

1 Attachment(s)
Dan Keaton mentioned this backplate pictured in the linked post below a while back. My HDMI inputs see a lot of work here and they may see some more when the Sony FS100 comes out. I am really worried about the micro movements over time destroying the fragile connector. I have had this happen on one of my camcorders already.

Where can I buy the aforementioned option please. It is not on nanoflash.net

Re: HDMI connector plate for protection

Dear Henry,

I designed that plate to hold the HDMI cables in position.

There are two plates. An adjustable one to support the bottom of the HDMI cable and a second one to squeeze down on the cable from the top.

However, some users were not adjusting the bottom plate to fit their connector, then applying lots of force on the top connector. This was applying inappropriate amounts of vertical force on the HDMI connector inside the nanoFlash.

Thus, I quit offering this plate for sale through nanoFlash.net, sorry.

We even tried another design, but we were not pleased with the results.

But, overall, we are finding that our cables fit into the nanoFlash Type C (mini) connectors fairly securely. They tend to snap in-place.

(But, of course, the HD-SDI BNC's are a far better design overall.)

Dear Dan,
Thanks for getting back to me.
Totally understand.
Take care
