Re: Actual frame dimensions at 1080p

Sorry to disagree.

VLC is just a player without any aim for accuracy, and without any displaying option.

QT shows things as-they-are.
if you want to fix the black-side-line, dig about APERTURE.

Re: Actual frame dimensions at 1080p

To be sure things are clear: I do not care about black lines or a smaller window that QT opens to play the clips. Ultimately I only want to know that there is not a surprise somewhere that my clips are almost, but not completely, full hd. I am sure there is nothing to worry about. When a topclass company like CD makes a topclass product like the nano and every information says it is 1920, than it is 1920. Period. But still QT at 'actual size' does not fill the full width of the 1920 wide screen, which made me wonder: why?

Hello

Also in Final Cut Pro, if you select a file then press (Apple Key)+9, it should show item properties of a selected file in the working area, this should also reflect 1920x1080 (As you would typically see from Movie inspector in QT Player)

Best Regards

Hi
I guess that the players QTplayer, VLC, MPC or others are not reproducing the stuff pixel to pixel on your PC screen !
