lense info queery
Hi there guys, just a quick question:
I've been playing around with EX3 and nanoflash overcrank settings. Is there any way that i can access the lense info on my media files? Namely gain, Iris and most importantly shutter speed? I know this is possible for still images (iPhoto/Nikon ViewNX etc), but can it be done with quicktime files??? |
Re: lense info queery
Dear Owen,
Short Answer: No. Long Answer: I do not believe that the Ex3 sends out lens info over HD-SDI. I will attempt to find out tomorrow. |
Re: lense info queery
Hi there Dan, the long answer makes sense!
Thanks so much for taking the time... cheers O. |
Re: lense info queery
But remember that if you are recording a backup simultaneously on SxS cards, you can see much of that info by viewing the BPAV folders, looking on the Acquisition tab of XDcamEX Clip Browser.

Re: lense info queery
Hello Owen,
I believe Dan is correct, one option you could do if you were not recording to the SYS Media is to turn on the OSD on the SDI Out, for a test / Setup Shot, this will display the video format, and lens info, (Essentially everything you see in the viewfinder), burned into the image itself, then you would need turn this off before you start the actual shoot. Hope that Helps |
