Some Stereo3D_toolbox Questions

I recently purchased the Stero3D_toolbox, and keep finding that a different sized
image of one of the clips occurs in the side-by side- selection. one clip always looks like its been "zoomed in". Howerer, the two clips do seem "synced" when you scrub the sequence, but unviewable due to the issue described.

The clips were brought in traditionaly, via the LOG & TRANSFER of FCP, and are:
Apple Prores: 1920 x 1080
FPS-29.97

Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks,
Carlton

I've seen this, is any of your footage interlaced?

We have a knowledge-base article on this issue: One Eye Resized/Scaled

We have developed a method for overcoming this issue automatically in the forthcoming v3.0 update.

Re: Some Stereo3D_toolbox Questions

Thanks Tim, the topic is well described in that writing, and I am starting to get a sense of how all these issues interact.

I hope I am not alone in saying that it does not seem like the "dust is settling", or that agreed-on standards are forming in the Stereoptical field. Being semi-adroit with the technical aspects seems even more frustrating and perplexing than being clueless.
The digital age has allowed 3D to blossom in our culture, and offer new territory for the arts and entertainment....but the basic "DNA" strands of 3D, just keep changing , and, well.. just getting more entangled and complex, rather then settling down and becoming reliable.

That being said, I presumed that FCP's "Log and Transfer" to ProRes, GUARANTEED progressive files.
and I used my Panasonic 750's , which are so recent, that they not CAPABLE of shooting interlaced. (or is that not the case either)
Anyway, It is hard to hide the frustration so... nuff said!

Ah, that was the link on your site I was looking for Tim :)

This was a real pita for me when I first got started but thankfully this sorted everything out.

Glad to hear S3DT 3 is going to take care of it for us - cheers Tim! - any update on when it's going to be available?

Neil
