Whitening out eyes
 

I`ll eventually be needing to whiten out some characters eyes. White contacts are out of the question. How could I do it in post besides exporting every frame and photoshopping them. I`ll be editing on the CS 3 studio.

You have several options depending on your footage:
first option:
1. make a solid layer over your footage
2. set the transparency of that layer at 0%
3. make a mask around the areas you want (the iris in this case)
4. animate the masks (or track the layer)
5. set transparency and blending mode as desired to get the kind of effect you are looking for

second option:
if your footage allow it (for example if the iris color is unique, I mean...that color is not present in the rest of the image) you can use the replace color effect to change it.

Third option:
1. duplicate your footage layer
follow the steps of option 1

since the shape of an eye stay relatively stable, you could try motion tracking.
if you got a lot of scenes to correct, doing it manually will be painfull
(especially if you do not have a graphic tablet).
there is an application not specially designed for this (illusion) , with a feature to track manually an object in video with the mouse.

You wouldn't need to export all the frames, because after effects now has a paint brush tool (aswell as an eraser and clone stamp). Just double click your footage in the comp and select the paint brush, then select to paint on single frames, and go through the footage dotting the eyes frame by frame.
