Hi Sean...
PSCS3 Extended includes an animation timeline. Using the timeline, it's possible to drop video clips and apply PS type level adjustments, or any other conventional PS filter, for that matter.

ah i see.. In this case CS3 would suffice. I just like to do the usual touching up, levels, cut n paste stuff to be used with After effects. Thks!

I disagree, PS CS3 extended has many important video features that you can use. The animation timeline is not the same old Imageready timeline you're used to it has true layering. It also has a video clone stamp tool that is impressive, you can clone stuff in or out over time. It also works with 3D programs like Strata 3D and lets you wrap images in 3D. and if you are good at After effects then the new 3D vanishing point tool will allow you to take a picture and make a true 3D with a simple camera move in After effects. It is worth opening up the piggybank a little more for
