video in After Effects

For the first time, I tried to manipulate a large photograph to move across the screen in After Effects. I rendered, then exported it to Premiere, where I printed it to tape. But unfortunatley, it looks odd; like it has lots of moving grain or something. Is this the best I can expect? The original photo was imported to photoshop and is very clean and crisp. I've kept it uncompressed throughout. Any ideas I where I've gone wrong?

Maybe the type of file I was using? (Photoshop file) Would .tif be better?

Thanks.

It is hard to say anything about this without seeing the source
picture and the resulting movie. What was the format and codec
you used to export from AE to Premiere? Does it look weird only
when playing back from your camera or also when you play the
movie AE exported?

I think I figured out the problem. I got the original image from a Kodak "picture" CD, which I hadn't noticed contains only crummy, lossy JPGs.

I should have ordered a Kodak "photo" CD, which contains 5 sizes of higher resolution images for each photo.

It's always something. :(

Now I can start over from the beginning! :)
