HELP - After Effects Error
 
When I try to import a jpg or psd AE gives me an error saying the file format module could not parse the file and won't let me open it. Please somebody help. Nothing has changed on my PC (3.2ghz , 2gb RAM).

Did you mean you used to be able to import JPEG and PSD files into After Effects okay?

scale your image down a bit in an image editor like photoshop and re-import.

Figured it out
 
My image was in CMYK and not RGB- After converting it to RGB the error went bye-bye and I was able to open the image
