Jumpy Audio

Whenever I add an mp3 music track to a composition it plays fine in preview but when rendered out to an avi it's always jumpy (just the audio). I've tried reducing the audio quality settings but no cigar, any ideas?

Which program are you using.

Final Cut Pro works better with AIFF or WAV, never use MP3.

After Effects will import MP3 but if I kept getting jumpy audio on export I'd try one of the two larger files above.
