how are software training/demo videos created?
 

I'm not exactly sure which section to put this in, or even how to describe it, but basically, I want to know how software training videos made - you know, the ones in which you can see all the desktop activity: the cursor is moving around the screen, applications are opening and closing, rendering is taking place, and it's all been captured and displayed as a quicktime/flash/wmv video.

I'm on the Mac platform, running FCP. If anyone can tell me how to capture desktop activity as video, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks ;-)

Camtasia is something I've worked with before. Pretty good program. There are lots of others.


Oops sorry, you need something for Apple computers for CAPTURING?

Will allow you to capture on a Mac. Camtasia is a better program, but won't run on a Mac. (Though it's video will work on FCP)
