This is not fair, I was just gettign ready to purchase an Sanyo HD1000. Well, at least I should be able to afford it (but how do I record 360Mp/s). When is it to be released?
I hope this 360mp, can be done in lossless bayer compression, and you can select 50fps. Holger, possibly, maybe not the Red One, but when is the Red Pocket coming? The 300fps slow motion sample clips seen here will bring a tear to your eye.
I won't even bother asking when this technology will be implemented on larger APS or full frame 36mm x 24mm sensors within DSLRs. It'll be here before we know it. |
Maybe I could possibly buy both the Sanyo and the Casio ;) . Still want to see the Red mini, Pana, JVC, and Sony pro like camera options.

I have a theory that a DSLR camera with this technology will come very soon because Sony does have a couple of prototype DSLR cameras that they are about to release and one of them does look like it will be full frame.

Imo, the full resolution shooting at 60fps possible only for short time (2-3sec) to RAM...

It states it can do 60fps video, and the 300fps was the burst (I thought)
They could easily stick a LOT of ram in there, and with big enough cards (even a harddrive through USB 2.0 port or something similar) A lot of possibilities :) |
I also wonder how they will handle the giant datarate ..
a single .jpeg in high res and good quality is approx 3.5 MBytes, thats 210 MBytes/second @60fps !!! 210 * 8 = 1,68 Gigabits/sec. Even when I reduce Quality and resolution I reach something like 500 Gigabit/sec. LOTs of data .. A 8 GByte Card could record 40 seconds at best quality, If it can handle the datarate. But even the fastest Card is rated 20 MByte continuous Datarate, only 10% of the needed bandwidth .. so the technical limit would be around 0.8 MByte per image @ 24 fps. Or they use jpeg2000 compression, but then I wonder what processor they use, jpeg2000 is very demanding even for fast desktop CPUs. |
