Here’s a list of authorized retailers.

Any mention of a tripod mount?

They finally have a camcorder that might be better valued than Aiptek’s although not as pocketable. On the print catalog, it claims 720p but I’m not sure if that also include 60p.

It’s not out yet.

B&H also sells the DXG-567V and the DXG-569V-HD.

I think the Aiptek Action HD is a better purchase as it's the same price ($199) but does both 1080P & 720P (30P & 60P)....

The DXG DXG-595V
____________________
3” LCD screen
5x Optical zoom
1920x1080 30p
1280x720 30p and maybe 60p

Aiptek Action HD

2.4” LCD screen
3x Optical zoom
1440x1080 30p
1280x720 30p and 60p

If the DXG-595V has 60p which isn’t known yet, it can be a tossup. If you want greater zoom, higher 1080 resolution and a bigger screen, you pick the DXG-595V. If you want a 2” macro mode and possibly more portability you pick the Action HD.

Its good that their aggressively competing against each other.

The 60P is the big question!!!

Anyone try this model yet?
How does the newer Aiptek 720p30 look against the older Go-HD- is it the same? Any improvements?

I’ve been wanting to do an outdoor test with both the A-HD and the A-HD+ in my blog but didn’t because the A-HD been through a hailstorm when I was trying to get shots on top of a mountain in Sao Miguel, Azores. About an hour after the incident the picture quality of the A-HD look terribly but after several hours, the picture quality looked completely fine but I’m not sure if it’s 100%.

For the heck of it, I’ll probably do that test this Sunday.

I eagerly await your findings.......if the Action HD is noticeably better (sharper, better motion) I'll buy one ASAP.....til then I'll wait for your findings.
Thanks Paulo.

I just got the DXG-595V, at first glance it seemed really good, but i soon realised what i stupid design flaw it had. Whenever you use the zoom on the camera it cuts most of the audio out. So if you intend to need audio when you use the zoom feature this camera is completely useless. I wonder what could have compelled DXG to put such a stupid feature on the camera. I'd rather have the background noise from the zoom motor then no audio at all... Anyways, just know, don't buy the 595V, and i'd be wary of any other DXG products after this.
