Announcing the Ninth Annual FCPUG Las Vegas SuperMeet

Announcing the Ninth Annual FCPUG Las Vegas SuperMeet to be held once again at the Rio Hotel and Casino on Tuesday, April 13, 2010.

Yes folks, it’s the ninth year of the SuperMeet along side the Nab Show and this year promises to be the biggest ever. I mean HUGE! Doors will open at 4:00PM for the SuperMeet Digital Showcase featuring over 30 software and hardware developers showing off their solutions. In addition we will inaugurate the very first Las Vegas SuperMeet Open Screen Theater.. Get seen! Show up, sign up, get up and show off and get famous.

Not enough? We will also be live streaming the show so if you cannot make it to the event, grab a cocktail and sit back and watch on your computer screen courtesy of Boinx TV. But hey, it’s so much more fun being at a SuperMeet so plan to be there.

NAB too expensive? Nope! Book your hotel and flights now. Hotels are cheaper than ever. And there are great deals on airlines. Not for 10 years have I seen prices this low. So book now because who knows how long these prices will last.

Go here first and prepare to have your mouth drop.

What’s on the agenda? Well, it’s SuperSecret. but we can tell you this; There will be user driven presentations, revolutionary new ideas and new products for you to drool over. There will be show and tells, tips and tricks and yes, the seemingly endless World famous Raffle where we will give away once again, thousands of dollars worth of prizes to dozens of lucky winners. More importantly the SuperMeet is your chance to hang out and network with about 1200 of your peers, many of whom know more than you do and dress really well.

Again, tickets are on sale now online only, and as usual we expect this event to sell out. SuperMeets always sell out. Once the tickets are gone, they are gone.

Buy your tickets early and keep watching this page for daily updates.

Michael you should throw in some free food at least...

Michael Horton April 6th, 2010 05:52 PM

Yeah, I know. I should throw in some money too. There is free food for everyone so didn't think that was much of an incitement.

Scheduled to appear on stage (subject to change) will be:

* Canon: Alex Buono, 10-year veteran Director of Photography for NBC's Saturday Night Live Film Unit, kicks off the SuperMeet with a real-world perspective and a bit of humor on shooting for broadcast for the weekly live comedy series with Canon EOS DSLR cameras. Alex will be joined by Paul McAniff of Canon, who will introduce the new XF305 and XF300 professional HD camcorders, featuring 50 Mbps MPEG-2 4:2:2 recording to affordable CF Cards.

* Avid: Editor Misha Tenenbaum will discuss production from an editor's point of view and explore his use of the AMA plugin architecture with Sony XDCam HD and Canon EOS 7D cameras for his new show, "Handicapped John." Misha will explore watching and even editing dailies instantly, while still on location and demonstrate how to save money and avoid potential hassles by offline editing in camera-native HD codecs.
