New iKan 5" EVF models
 

Just saw these on iKan's site:

D5w-PS: D5w Field Monitor with PS Finder | ikan

1280x800 5.6" with "German quality optics"

Seems pretty pricey compared to the competition (Zacuto, Small HD). Though these are higher resolution.

Anyone have more info?

German quality optics? That looks like a viewfinder straight off an Arri camera! Interesting.

Ikan and $2000 don't go in the same sentence to me... Be very interested in checking this out next nab though.

I'm surprised more weren't announced at NAB. Looks like Alphatron is still the king, but I expected more competition to be released.

I think the bulk of the price is going for the PS Finder which is listed at 999 Euro, or about $1,300 USD

P+S TECHNIK | Professional Cine Equipment Manufacture

The iKan D5 & D5w go for $699 & $999 (respectively), so the price add ups, but still seems pricey when you look at the Small HD or Hoodman finder for $150 or the Zacuto finder for $400. Maybe P+S Technik optics are really that good?
