It's a lot of money for a camera that in this day & age doesn't shoot 4K. Even with the limited time a body of this size would probably offer, at least it would be there for short clips.

Reasons to buy this instead of an A7r II are......? Bueller? Anyone?

I was wondering that exact thing! Looks like a very nice small travel camera, but the price says it might be for the guy who has everything else and some money to spare.

I do think it would have a niche market.
Full frame but fixed lens and small. I don't think there's any other "Point and Shoot" with specs like this.
At 480 g / 1.9 lb it's well suited for a small hand held gimbal.

It would be interesting to see how well the auto focus works and locks onto a subject. It could make for very shallow depth of field gimbal shots.

Otherwise one might get an RX100 or even an RX10 with their slow mo capabilities but much deeper DOF.
