Can the Odyssey be set to headphone levels on it's audio out? I'm primarily going to use the a6300 with a Odyssey.

Brian

Does your work around show whats actually being recorded or whats going into the camera?

Thanks,

Dano

Looks like it does have touch focus, as stated at the 1:00 mark here, https://www.bhphotovideo.com/explora...e=sony%20a6500

I suppose the rumored A9 is either a pipe dream, or a ways down the line. Myb spring of next year at the earliest. It's good for me, I can't move to 4K yet anyway, between the expense of the camera but also the computer, just cant do it.

Brian...what does this hack monitor? Prior to the camera or whats being recorded?

Allows you to monitor what's being recorded in HD mode only. Shooting in 4K the screen will go black and you will have to use a monitor.

1. Still overheats

2. Tons of rolling shutter. Like 5D MKII levels of rolling shutter.

3. Still has Sony's awful colors.

Yawn. Sony is about 70% of the way to building a game changer here but they won't.

Well, I've seen tests that show:

1. It doesn't overheat and they ran out of card space before there was any indication of overheating.

2. Rolling shutter or its magnitude is still unconfirmed

3. That's totally subjective. I've had no issues with Sony's colors and prefer them to some others. So that's a totally subjective comment.

Although this was shot with the RX10III, the colors are indicative of what I get with the A6300. The colors are quite accurate and indicative of how I saw them:

Ken - Thank you for you comments regarding color. I used to have all Canon gear. Now that I have all Sony gear I am starting to think that the Canon color was bordering on too warm. I shoot stills more than video. I do know that the color from my a7R ii is better than from my a7S (not the ii version).

I have owned and operated Sony Cameras for ever and then owned and operated a Canon C300 and 5D, what's funny for me is, I sold both Canon cameras as I didn't like the colour that came out of those cameras.

I'm so use to Sony colours and can tell right away if things are not right which is handy when out in the field and in the edit.
