ASIO remains a very direct way of accessing audio hardware. As far as I know, the changes in Vista do not affect ASIO-based cards.

And most pro cards and apps use ASIO (or for GigaStudio GSIF).

coo. i think most editors should be using asio cards for editing anyway, ain't that right?
