15min documentary

I've been asked to quote on a 15 minute documentary style promo for a housing estate and I'm not sure where to start.

it's a mix of interviews and commentary describing the history, facilities & day to day operation of the place. I've got all the camera & lighting equip I need - it's just a matter of time.

I'm guessing 2 full days of shooting should cover it (assuming I can line the interviews up) - is that unreasonable? - is there a rule of thumb for raw footage to finished product?

any advice eagerly accepted - I'm about to bite off more than I can chew!

I don't know how intricate you want to be but I know that most major 3-3.5min network news pieces budget an editor 6-8 hours. I have found this to be a formula that I use.

I charge $10,000 plus travel expenses for a documentary of up to 28:30 seconds. Try it at $5,000 and see what they say.
