How to transport a Glidetrack?
Does anybody have a good solution for packaging a .5 meter Glidetrack HD with a small head? Not for air travel, just for packing in the back of the car.

I don't have a specific bag suggestion for a half meter long slider, but you might find something to your liking in a sports equipment store. A bat bag perhaps. Or do like I did, and head for the drum section of a reasonably large musical instrument retailer. I found the *perfect* bag for a 1 meter slider, with room for two tripods. I imagine it was meant to carry drum cymbal stands, but I'm not sure.

Perfect timing, on this response.
I just built an "indislider", and needed some way to transport it, as it did not fit my tripod bag, with the head attached. Sam |

I've got 31,000 air miles on my slider and have never used anything but bubble wrap and masking tape. There's not a nick on it. I always pack the sled separately though, I figure the nylon bushings are the weakest links. |
