Glidetrack Hybrid upgrade? Price?
 

Has anybody upgraded from the original GT to the Hybrid yet. I can't find anything on the GT site yet, though I did hear it was possible to upgrade. If anybody has upgraded, can you let me know your thoughts, and how much?

I had an email a couple of days ago inviting me to register my interest in the Hybrid upgrades which linked me to this page Sign up for priority for the Hybrid Upgrade Pack

Bottom line is the price for the Hybrid carriage is £149/$242.71 & for a limited period a special offer price of £199/$324.19 for the complete upgrade including adjustable feet. You need to add tax to these prices.

Note that this upgrade is for the Glidetrack HD only. The Glidetrack Hybrid is so much better than the original that getting the upgrade is really worthwhile.

Unfortunately I have the SD, so the upgrade doesn't work. Seems to be for the HD only.

There will be an SD version (works with Igus 10-40 rails) coming soon.

I have just been trying out the new XD version (works with Igus 20-80 rails). VERY nice!

Excellent news. I know at least one Glidetrack SD user who will be very pleased. The hybrid carriage really is a significant improvement on the original version.

That's excellent news, Alastair - I was beginning to damn myself for bying an un-upgradable SD!

Count me in for one when you get them figured out. While I really like the GT, I'd love it with the Hybrid carriage.
