dolly for £0

I started a thread a while back about cheap sit on dolly options...well I decided to make my own.

This was made with junk lying around my house for absolutely nothing. As you can see it can be useed with either my Glidecam v8 Arm for extra stability or just the tripod. It is pushed and steered from the from the smaller axle at the back and fits through any doorway.

Just thought you might like to have a look =) click on the "origional size" option under the picture for full rez

Very impressed. Again. If you would like me to put some pics up on HBS let me know.

Graham Bernard March 16th, 2006 04:57 AM

How "hard" are those tyres? Is it softish compo?

I presume you throw a seat on the square plate to sit on? Yes?

What do you actually grab hold on to keep steady - while holding the camera arem? Where DO you hold the camera? Loose?

G

Andy Graham March 16th, 2006 04:59 AM

yeah why not charles ,I take it you'll just right click save as on the pics i up loaded...unless your on a mac in which case you'll have no right click (i switched from pc to mac recently and i miss my right click!)

Andy Graham March 16th, 2006 05:04 AM

they are pneumatic tyres so are good over uneven ground.

yes i will be putting a seat on there ,at the moment it's just some scafolding that i found out the back of my house

i don't intend to be going fast enough to need to hold on!,....however i have another rig that you might like ,it goes in a small trailer and is pulled by my quad bike...pics soon!

with the camera you just treat it like your wearing the steadicam.

Andy
