I can understand not wanting political advertisements like vote for "Joe Smoe", etc., but fictional pieces that focus on the current ideas and issues are common themes for films. Sure would like a bit more clarification of this.

I'll chip in.

The main reason that we discourage politics is because DVinfo (quite rightly) has a "no politics/no religion" policy.

It's just way too much of a hornet's nest to even touch, regardless of what side you are on. We are all friends here. I'd rather keep 100% off politics and stay that way.
