I didn't kill all the detail as some folks do but I do believe I set it down at least 1 notch before I do anything. Also, the compression does a real number on the sharpness. I dropped the frame rate to 15 for both online versions.

I plan on adding one of the missing shots tonight. At least work in the missing shot of the answering machine from which we hear the husbands VO. Some folks thought it might have been a radio initially. I should have EQed it a bit tighter I suppose but with the visual, people will put that together easily enough.

I have always shot in 16:9 also. Makes for a rough workflow to DVD some times but I like it. Plus, we have a Plasma on the wall in the living room and it just looks so nice to fill the screen. As a side benefit, it teaches you to use a full film frame.

Made one minor alteration to the non-contest, almost final version. You can see the slightly reworked version by clicking the versions in the right column on the web page at http://www.surgetechservices.com/smchenry/

I will be adding one more shot and some VO and it should complete the piece to my satisfaction and make a few issues clearer.

In this version I simply added the announcement from an answering machine before the first VO. It should be more apparent now that this is a pre-recorded message left by phone. I was originally going to add a shot of a finger hitting the play button but it would have disturbed the original flow that I liked so much.

More in a day or two.

Thanks,

Sean
