Robert Martens December 6th, 2006 11:49 AM

Yeah, I kind of jumped the gun and put my name in the sign up thread before I'd managed to get to the bank. I should be able to drop a few notes in later today, then I can donate something. You know, for the children.

Glad to see I get top billing, though.

Steven Hoffman December 6th, 2006 12:04 PM

Next time you check, my contribution should be there.

Dylan Couper December 7th, 2006 08:59 PM

Updated! Wow, $320 already!

Dylan Couper December 12th, 2006 10:59 PM

Wow, we went from $320 to $530 just like that, and already topped last years total! Thanks to you guys for making this happen, you guys rule.

Bruce Broussard December 13th, 2006 12:51 PM

How can I contribute?

Edward Slonaker December 14th, 2006 08:52 AM

Even though I'm likely to end up on the "Wall of Shame" on this one, I still wanted to contribute. Hope to have something by the deadline, but it ain't lookin' good....

Thanks Bradley, I just sent something off.

Mike Horrigan December 17th, 2006 11:22 PM

Just signed up with Paypal!

I'll be sending some money tomorrow... or... later today. :)

Hugh DiMauro December 18th, 2006 08:14 AM

Hey Dylan:

I sent mine via PayPal at 4:00 pm EST on 12/16/06 (or was it the 17th?). Let me know if did it correctly?

Pete Bauer December 18th, 2006 10:56 AM

Yeah, Dylan, don't tally your final total donations yet. In my case, I've been working 14-15 hour shifts on my day job so had no hope of submitting on time...didn't even try to start. Regardless, as this challenge is a combination of filming for fun and Christmas charity, I'll still paypal a donation in and do a little something of a video, even if many days late.

Good for you Pete; can't wait to see it!! :)

Dick Mays December 19th, 2006 02:29 PM

Pete,

I'm with you. Bummed that I didn't get in DVC #7. But I paypalled my Christmas donation and think we should still get to VOTE for the winner!

I did write a script for dvc7 but Kris Holodak wasn't able to cast it. Maybe I'll just shoot it anyway, and post a link to it. Maybe you and I can have our own little competition in January! The DVC7 not ready for Christmas players...

yeah, Dick. The script you wrote had 4 actors. The script I went with had 2. And still only 1 person showed up. They all claimed to be ill. Bah humbug. December is such a bad month for that.

You should shoot yours later. I really liked it.

Smile,
Kris

Welcome to my world! Had a great idea and script for DV#2, but one of the actors did not show up. Had to use blank screen with an explanation in her place and of course that ruined it. Dylan sent me a special award for "Best Comedy!" It is framed and on my wall!

Some day I will be able to put together a cast and do a real shoot.

Mike

Yeah, but at least I didn't put in some impossible to find lead, like a three-legged dog!

Actually, I teach acting to a bunch of people. So that's the one thing I can generally find. But I do need to win me a tushy-pushy dolly.

Dylan Couper December 20th, 2006 06:08 PM

If you didn't notice, our running total is up to $704!!!

Thanks to everyone who contributed, it's pretty amazing how quickly it all adds up, especially considering last years total was $500ish!

Mike Horrigan December 21st, 2006 07:11 AM

Dylan, I'm still looking to donate, I'm just having a problem due to the fact that I don't use credit cards online.

I've had my identity stolen once, and I won't dare risk that sort of thing again.

Any other way of sending the funds?

Mike

Brent Graham December 22nd, 2006 05:05 PM

Mike,

No worries, just mail your small, unmarked bills to my P.O. Box. I'll then forward your donation to Dylan. At this point in time, minimum donations are floored at $250. So since it's for charity, just go ahead and mail me a couple hundred bucks. I'm sure I can spend...er...I mean the charity could use that money well!

Totally kidding, nothing in this reply is real, except for my willingness to accept money...

I have a similar situation. Need a "snail mail" address where I can send a check.

Don't know if your bank has it but my bank has something called "e-card", short for electronic card. Basically every time I am going to do an online payment I generate a new unique cardnumber with the amount I set. It can be set to only be valid for one purchase, one month et c. It's very neat esp for websites you are insecure about handing your money.

Dick Mays December 23rd, 2006 06:50 AM

Hey. I'm not listed a a donor. Let me go check my Paypal account...

Will double check, is the Paypal account under your name?

As for everyone else who wants to donate, two choices: one you can mail it to me, two you can wait until the winner is announced and mail it directly to the chairty.
Let me know which you all prefer. I'm getting a new mailling address next week, so I will post it Wednesday.

Bradley L Marlow December 23rd, 2006 02:33 PM

Over $700

Bravo! Hip Hip Horay! Most excellent!

I'll mail a check as soon as you post or provide an address. If you want to send the address to me by email rather than post in public (here) I will check my profile and be sure my email address is available.

Merry Christmas! Everyone!!!

Dylan Couper January 4th, 2007 12:36 PM
