Next DVC??
 

Hey, its been a while since Ive been around here, but now that Im on holidays I thought Id come back and have a look around. I was wondering when the next DVC is gonna be (approximately), because Id like to have a go now that Ive got some free time on my hands. Looks like fun :)

that would be sweet! But pleeaaassee lets do it before the end of July, cus my holidays finish 1st August and once theyre over Ill have no time :(.

Also, my equipment bascially consists only of a gs400, tripod and some worklights..will this fairly low grade setup disadvatage me in the competition?

It doesn't have to disadvantage you. If you tell a compelling story we're unlikely to notice the limitations of what you used to shoot it. Though it might also help to plan your shots keeping in mind what you and your gear can do well. Which isn't to say you shouldn't push the envelope. I often use these contests as an excuse to try things I haven't done before. But I've also never made the finals and since your question was about competitiveness that's my 2 cents.
