Ah yes, the forum back before the "real names" switch. I remember "afterburnerDV" and "CameraRevolt," plus a few others if I were to put my mind to it.

I bought my first camera, the XL1s, in October of '01 after doing a search online and finding a really informative site called "The XL1s Watchdog" run by a guy named Chris Hurd. There wasn't anything else like it on the Net and that info is what sold me. :)

Like you, I found the DVinfo VX2000 Companion, which was a big help with my camera purchase.
