DVD recorder that does simple cut edits

Is there a good set top DVD recorder that allows cutting out sections after capture? A good example would be capturing a 2 hour VHS tape of a broadcast and clipping out the commercials. I think some recorders have Hard drives that you record to and allow simple edits before you burn to DVD.
Any suggustions? Do they have a simple interface for a menu?
Thanks

Hi Brian,

I have two Panasonic and two Phillips HHD DVD burner units. Each of them do what you want. The Phillips units are newest and can be found at WalMarts for about $300.

There are also units that combine a VHS Recorder and a DVD Burner in one unit.

I have a Panasonic with an 80GB HD and I was really impressed of its encoding capabilities. It can fit 2 hours on a DVD with quality very similar to the best software encoders (of course it can fit up to 8 hours on a DVD with the recorder, but that's just out of the question quality-wise)

HI Brian,

Not sure what Pana has out curently, but they are good.

The Phillips seems to do as well as my Pana's, and cheaper with a 160 gig HHD. All new units have the Digital /analog tuner.
