DVD covers?
 

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a company that prints a generic DVD sleave or cover? You know like a general print for wedding's party, sporting event? Does anyone know what I'm talking about? If so where can the be purchased? I can print my own but would prefer a general high gloss over a normal paper cover.

You can get nice liners from Neato.

I found that if I buy the boxes like those in which the Hollywood videos are delivered, a regular inkjet paper looks good under the clear vinyl cover.

Much easier than fooling around with the jewel boxes. Looks more pro and is a lot more rugged.

I use to do short-run CD duplication for regional musicians, including graphic design and printing covers. I was very fond of using glossy, photo-quality ink jet paper -- it costs a little more, but you can often find one brand or another on sale at Best Buy or Office Max.

The glossy ink jet paper gave the covers a professional look and made the graphics look 10 times better than matte paper. The key is to let the printouts sit overnight to let the ink set (so that it doesn't smear or chip during the cutting and folding process). I have covers that were printed a few years ago and which have been fairly well manhandled and they still look good.

A DVD cover, which probably won't be removed from the case at all, will likely last even longer. I have printed some DVD covers with this method and I have to say that glossy looks a lot better than matte, even behind the plastic cover of the typical DVD case.

For short run stuff I print them myself on semi-gloss paper and cut it to size.

For larger run things I use a local printer which gives me unbeliveable results.
