Need help (DVD copy problem)

I hope someone, anyone can please help me out. Myabe somebodyu has had this problem(I hope). I just finished burning master copies. I started to make copies of them. All was going fine and then all of a sudden I began to get disc read error messages. I thought maybe my top drive was going bad. I replaced it with an old one that I had replaced(still good though). Tried to burn same thing. So I swapped that drive with my burn drive thinking maybe it's a burn error. Still same problem. I have deleted and re-installed the copy program but nothing seems to be working. I am at my wit's end here. I have no idea what else to do. Defraged the PC. CLeaned up the hard drive. Nothing works. Am I missing something? I did a virus scan, nothing. I tried to burn same format DVD's, nothing. I tried to copy old DVD's I had made, same thing. Anyone? Please! You can reply here or please e-mail me. Jgatti38@yahoo.com Thanks.
Jason

I wonder why you are using DVD drive to make copies of it?
You should make the copies straight from your hard drive location where you authored the DVD folders.
If you used set top DVD recorder copy the master to your hard drive and try burning from the files you copied - speed and relyability should be higher!

It could possibly be that the DVD media you used wasn't so great. Try some made in Japan DVD media, as it is usually better than the made in Taiwan media. You will of course have to reburn your master on the new media. But as Bogdan indicated, it would be best to just copy your DVDs from a file on your hard drive

I think I figured it out

Thanks for the response. I think my so called masters were just bad copies. I put in some of my older dvd's I made and they copied with no problem. I re-made them both (editing and all) and made all the copies I needed.
To answer the question why did I try to make copies of a copy? When I am editing 3 projects and don't have the number of order's of each one at that time, I make one master and copy from it. Then go on to my next one. Then I'll make however many copies are needed then.
