Printing DVD Jewel Box covers?
 

Is there any freeware software out there that can do this? Print a front, back and spine cover for a DVD jewel case without having to worry about cutting pieces up? Simply fold and insert and trim away the unprinted on paper?

I simply made a layout in Photoshop using the guide lines and then print on photo paper and trim

You may also check the software that came with your DVD writer they often include one as well

The Photoshop method could work...Is there a tempelate available?

I use the standard cases and photo paper designed for them from Meritline.com. Meritline has an EZ Label app for free for that paper. It is rather basic, but more complicated than a document template. It does basic text insertion and graphics insertion. I build a graphic in Animation:Master and then put in. It is on Meritline's site if you find the inserts.

All i did was to start a new page in photoshop and measure the insert and drag lines from the rulers into position to mask the area (one left, one right, one top, one bottom and two in the middle to mask the spine

Dont forget that the front side is the right side and the back is on the left

i print them on a 8x12 dye sub photo printer so they are very durable as well

What size paper do you need? I remember I tried a while ago and standard US Letter paper was too small to fit the case.

That now brings me to my next question. Anybody know where to buy A4 size paper in the US? Paper suitable for labels that is.
I grew up using A4 paper at school in England, but I haven't seen any available here in the US.
