Thank you for the compliments.
Cristian: For the ceremony, I use 2 XH-A1s to capture the audio and steady shots.
Once in a while, I would reach out to my shoulder to grab the 7D to do some other creative shots, but we are talking once or twice. Besides, I have wide angle lens, so can't zoom in much. When you talked about "timecode", are you talking about timecode sync, etc?
Because it does show minutes and seconds on LCD. That's really all I need during shooting.

Alvin: I use Rapid Fire from Zacuto and shoots some of them on Tripod. I bought extra set of plate and release system, so I can swap my A1s and 7D instantly. I have Sachtler tripod, so it was pain in the butt to figure out, but Jens from Zacuto helped me out figuring it out. All I can say is practice x 3.
No heat issue yet. I'm always careful with heating issue, too, making sure I turn it off when I know for sure that I don't need it on. But even after shooting like 1-2 hour straight, no heating issues, yet.

Chuck: this camera is totally different with regular video cameras. You certainly need some type of support to hold it steady. I use Rapid Fire and it works great. I just got my Z-Finder, too, and it helps for extra contact point. Being a LCD guy, I am not too crazy about the Z-Finder, but it is awesome product to have for DSLR cams, helps a lot with focusing.

hi JJ,

i was just looking at the Rapid Fire from Zacuto as well. sweet stuff, that's on my Christmas shopping list :)

I got the heating issue once whilst on a wedding shoot. I got it just 5 minutes before the unveiling of the bride. Imagine my panic!

I'm just glad the startup time when i turn on the cam isn't very long. I just switched it on & off once and the problem was solved.

Cheers :)
