1st day with the camera, Trying out 60p

This was shot the day after i got the camera, shot in 60p than interpreted to 30p. it came out dark because it was all under trees and i used the kit lens, it came out fairly grainy becuase i had to use a higher iso. tell me what you think

Very dark, but obviously you know that. You could have easily cranked the ISO up even higher and just done noise reduction in post if you didn't like the results. You'll never like the results if your subjects aren't exposed correctly though. A couple of the pans looked shaky but that could have just been from vimeo on my slow work computer.

I like the flow overall, but it felt like it needed a couple of low, close shots of the cyclists coming at the camera. A little more danger for your gear unless you have a long lens, but action sells. :-) Good work and keep it up!

ya i will try to get closer-up shots next time, i was worried about manually focusing on a close up moving object, but what i shot was fairly easy to do, didnt have alot of problems with focusing. i think some of the shots might be a bit shaky because of my tripod work. i was kneeling down on the side of a steep decline for most of the shots and occasionally i would slip which would result in a not so smooth pan, but the shots aren't that bad. i didn't think about noise reduction in post, ill keep that in mind next time
