New Mac based D2D / videoscope program in beta

I was recently contacted by the delevoper of a program called "Scopebox" who was frustrated by the lack of a DV Rack style program for the Mac. By invitation, I enrolled into the beta test program and was able to give the program a run through. Complete with video scopes and a preview window the program shows a lot of real promise but it's still in an early beta state at the moment.

I suggest anyone interested go the web site and check it out. With your encouragement, the enterprising developers at Divergent Media will give Mac owners their own laptop based video center soon.

This sounds good. My real question here is why hasn't apple released some of this functionality for FC studio? That seems like a gross oversight. I use my macbook pro to record talking head interviews, but it's a P.I.T.A. And a little buggy. I also use iMovie to record timelapse footage, which is a great feature, but again, it seems easy enough to add all this funcitonality into FCP with scopes, and preferably even laptop record control.
