Re: FCP X Rush of Success!
Well, you import all the video clips. Then you import all the audio clips.
Since most cameras and audio recorders time stamp clips - typically the audio and the video clips will end adjacent to each other since you digitized them at the same time. Then whenever you come across a clip in your event browser that you want to "sync" you click on it and the associated audio track, and select "Syncronize clip." and it creates a compound clip with both audio tracks in sync. The final step is to open the compound clip and drag the camera audio level bar to zero if you don't want to hear the scratch track combined with the good one. I did about 40 field interviews with it a couple of weeks ago and it didn't stumble on a single one. That's pretty much it in a nutshell. |

Question: What is the workflow for importing a project audio file that has been sent to Protools for sweetening? I want to turn off the audio on the existing tracks and use only the sweetened track that I import. Do I have to go through and turn off the audio for each clip? Is there a quicker way?
